About the client work

Burr Paw is a Papillion, Nebraska product brand — a patented mitten that pulls stubborn stickers and burrs off clothing, gear, and pets. Hunters, ranchers, and anyone who works in the rough already knew the product. The original Shopify site was built by the owner. It sold. Then the brand outgrew it.

Burr Paw is now on shelves at Scheels and partners across the country. People were finding the product in a store, then looking it up on their phone. The shop needed a real mobile design, a store that matched the product, and a way to answer a simple question: where can I buy this near me?

What we built

We did a complete Shopify redesign — not a theme tweak. The storefront was rebuilt for how the brand actually sells now: colorways, how it works, custom logo orders, and a clear path to shop online or find a retailer. Most of that traffic is on a phone, so mobile came first.

A store finder that actually finds the store

As Burr Paw landed in Scheels and other retailers, “Where to buy” could not be a static list. We built a dealer locator with map and location APIs — city or zip, a radius, and nearby partners on the map. Retail names people already know show up in one place, and new dealers can be added as the network grows.

Photography and video that show the product working

A sticker-remover mitt has to look like it belongs in the field, not on a blank catalog page. We photographed Burr Paw in use — clothing, gear, the people who actually carry it — and edited video so visitors can see the product work without guessing.

Those assets sit through the Shopify store: hero, product pages, and the story. New customers trust what they are buying before they add it to the cart.

Built for a brand that already had momentum

Burr Paw did not need a website because they were starting from zero. They had a patented product, a loyal following, and retail that kept expanding. They needed a Shopify store that could keep up — on the phone, in the field, and at the counter of a Scheels.
